This double-ended tool has a pointed end for cut pile with a wider conical surface behind the point. On tall cut pile, the narrow point penetrates deep within the row, while the wider conical surface spreads the tufts. The opposite end is beveled and rounded for spreading loops on loop pile and Berber carpets without snagging. This tool will effectively open and spread rows for reduced shearing of carpet nap by the seam cutter. Machined from solid steel, and nickel plated. Net weight: 2 ½ oz.
